Small Group Studies
In an effort to maintain social distancing we have replaced our midweek Bible study with two small group studies, one on Tuesdays and one on Wednesdays. These smaller groups allow us to meet within the church building while maintaining a safe distance from each other. During our Wednesday evening study we also have Bible classes for children. If you are visiting then please feel free to come on whichever night is most convenient for you.
- 7PM – Tuesday Group meets inside the church building for reading and discussion of Hebrews.
- No Bible classes for children.
- 7PM – Wednesday Group meets inside the church building for reading and discussion of Hebrews.
- Includes Bible classes for children of all ages.
Format of Small Group Studies
"Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching." - 1 Timothy 4:13
These small group studies are different from our typical Bible classes in that they are more discussion based. We simply read the Bible together and discuss what it says. Each group has a facilitator to guide reading and discussion. Questions and comments are encouraged. Smaller groups are less intimidating and more intimate, so open discussion is much easier.
The thing that is missing from our Facebook Live classes is the interaction we normally get before, during and after the teaching. So, with these Small Group Classes, we are not only bringing us together, but also encouraging even more discussion and interaction than we normally have in a large class.
The small group studies consist of 45 minutes of reading and discussion. At the end of each study we spend 15 minutes discussing member’s needs, praying for each other, and planning ways we can serve and help with specific needs.
We want to come together as they did in the first century Church, edifying and encouraging each other until He comes.
We are currently reading through Hebrews together. The book of Hebrews is about staying faithful to Christ even during difficult times. We feel that this book is especially relevant for Christians today.
We hope you can join us for these encouraging small group Bible studies!
